You will be part of the Quality & Regulatory Affairs Department, reporting to the Director of the Department, and lead a team of two direct reports. 

Your main tasks

• Drive the continued evolution of the Quality Management System (QMS), with a focus on simplicity, scalability, and business enablement
• Strengthen and streamline quality processes to support efficient, high-quality operations as the organization grows
• Lead and develop the quality team, providing clear direction, coaching, and support
• Oversee key operational quality activities, including CAPA, nonconformance management, change control, internal audits, document management, and supplier quality
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure quality practices enable efficient and effective ways of working
• Support validation and compliance activities related to software systems and eQMS platforms, including contributing to the selection and implementation of a future eQMS solution
• Contribute to the development of quality and compliance processes in emerging areas such as AI, machine learning, and data management
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks, including ISO 13485, MDR Article 10, MDSAP, and QMSR
• Apply pragmatic, risk-based thinking to quality and compliance challenges, balancing regulatory requirements with business needs

Experience & skills

• MSc or BSc in engineering, life sciences, or a related field relevant to medical device quality and regulatory affairs
• Extensive experience in Quality Management within the medical device industry
• Strong expertise in ISO 13485, MDR, MDSAP, and QMSR
• Strong understanding and practical application of ISO 14971 risk management principles for medical devices
• Proven leadership experience with direct people management responsibilities within the medical device, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical manufacturing industries
• Lead auditor experience, including planning, conducting, and leading internal and external audits
• A hands-on leader who enjoys improving processes and solving operational challenges
• Experience implementing or optimizing eQMS solutions is highly valuable
• Experience with medical device design and development processes, including software lifecycle processes under IEC 62304, is highly valuable
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Management within the medical device industry
• Very good command of English, spoken and written
• Lead Auditor certification is beneficial

We are looking for a user-focused and technology-driven IT Operations Group Manager who wants to help build a secure, modern, and high-performing IT environment at RaySearch Laboratories. In this role, you will lead our IT Support and IT Operations teams and play a key role in ensuring that more than 450 employees have the technology, reliability, and security they need to support better cancer care worldwide.

You will work in a hybrid IT environment spanning both on-premises infrastructure and cloud services, where stability, security, and employee experience are equally important. Together with your team and in close collaboration with our Cyber Security and stakeholders across the company, you will continuously improve our internal IT services, processes, and platforms. As part of the IT leadership team, you will also help drive long-term development and modernization initiatives across the organization.

In this role, you will:

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing IT Support and IT Operations teams.
• Ensure stable, secure, and efficient operation of RaySearch’s central IT infrastructure and services.
• Drive improvements in IT support processes, service delivery, and ways of working.
• Oversee and develop core IT platforms, including Microsoft 365, identity management, endpoint management, networks, and collaboration tools.

You will be part of an agile team developing innovative solutions using machine learning algorithms to automate and improve future cancer treatments. As a member of the ML Planning team you will develop cutting-edge deep learning methods to accurately predict radiation dose distributions that will be deployed at cancer clinics worldwide.

In radiation therapy, treatment planning is the process of determining how to deliver a precise dose of radiation to a tumor while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissue. This is a complex optimization problem that requires careful balancing of clinical goals. Our deep learning models predict 3D dose distributions directly from patient anatomy (CT images and structure sets), enabling clinicians to rapidly generate high-quality treatment plans for techniques such as VMAT and IMRT. The predicted dose serves as input to downstream optimization, significantly reducing the time and expertise needed to produce clinically acceptable plans.

You will

Your day-to-day work will involve training, evaluating and operationalizing deep learning models for dose prediction. This includes analyzing results using clinical metrics such as dose-volume histograms (DVH), ensuring that predictions meet acceptance criteria for organs at risk (OARs) and target volumes. You will work with real clinical datasets and iterate closely with medical physicists and oncologists to validate model performance against clinical standards.

Your focus will be on the machine learning algorithms as well as on developing, maintaining, and improving the production code base in RayStation. Our models are integrated into RayStation, a treatment planning system used by clinics globally, so engineering rigor matters as much as model accuracy. We value engineers who write clean, testable, well-structured code and who take ownership of the full lifecycle from research prototype to clinical deployment in a regulated medical device context.

You will work closely with domain experts, system developers and product owners as well as leading cancer centers to understand the product and develop tools that will make a real difference.
