Data Lead - Machine Learning

About the position

As a Data Lead in the Machine Learning (ML) department at RaySearch you will drive the execution of key ML and data driven initiatives by ensuring efficient data collection and data management. You will work closely with internal teams, data providers, and customers to ensure smooth execution of data-driven projects at RaySearch.

Responsibilities

  • Data Collection & Management: Oversee the acquisition, structuring, and governance of data essential for ML, research and development projects.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Establish strong relationships with clinics, research institutions, and internal teams to facilitate seamless data operations.
  • Process Optimization: Improve processes and workflows for data management, including data ingestion, storage, and usage.
  • Data Compliance: Support with ensuring that data processes align with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and internal governance frameworks.

Your profile

You have experience in project management and data governance with a passion for AI and healthcare innovation. You thrive in cross-functional environments and have a strong interest in data-driven projects. You have the ability to work proactively, manage complex initiatives, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure the integrity of data workflows. You are capable of handling and prioritizing many requests and relations at once. Your excellent communication and organizational skills allow you to bridge the gap between technical teams, legal teams, and external partners, ensuring smooth project execution in a regulated industry.

Requirements:

  • A relevant MSc degree and 5+ years of experience in project management or similar roles
  • Proven experience in data projects within AI, machine learning, software development, healthcare, or MedTech.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, including data governance, privacy, agreements, and compliance.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in software development, ideally with ML functionality.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills in English.

Meriting:

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in healthcare (GDPR, HIPAA, MDR).
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience with project management tools.
