Application Specialist - Machine Learning focus

RaySearch is recruiting a dosimetrist, medical physicist or treatment planner with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience to join Machine Learning Service Team which is a part of the global RayStation Service Team.  

About the job

As an Application Specialist you will join a diverse and dedicated specialist group with clinical experience from different countries. The group is part of the global service organization responsible for the promotion, deployment and support of our products as well as the education of our customers.  

You will initially work with machine learning functionalities such as model training, model development, data generation, and commissioning to later develop into the full spectrum of activities of an application specialist.  

These activities include working with prospects and customers to introduce them to our treatment planning system RayStation and our oncology analytics system RayIntelligence, through demonstrations and trainings. These activities take place on site, in our Stockholm training center, via webinars, and at conferences. You will get the opportunity to use your clinical knowledge in frequently changing environments and with different audiences. Some travel is required, primarily within your region but occasionally globally.  

The workplace is your home office or our headquarters in Stockholm, if you are based locally.  

You will mainly work with

• Performing, assisting and guiding customers during the Machine Learning model commissioning process 
• Planning, performing and documenting product trainings for customers and distributors 
• Demonstrating RaySearch products at trade shows and on-site for prospective customers 
• Answering tenders and describe product functionalities 
• Collaborating with our development department through exploratory testing of new product versions 
• Supporting clinics building data-driven dashboards  
• Participating in the development of new machine learning models 
  • Creating and reviewing treatment plans used for training and validating ML models 
  • Assisting in model design decision using clinical knowledge

Further, you can quickly adapt to new contexts and appreciate various environments as well as a variety of different tasks.  You enjoy facing new challenges and solving complex problems, both independently and in collaboration with your team members. You are comfortable with working proactively, taking initiatives, have the ability to prioritize your work and adapt to sudden changes. Some knowledge or at least a keen interest in coding is beneficial. 

Experience & skills

• BSc, MSc or higher degree in medical physics/dosimetry/RTT or equivalent 
• Spoken and written English at a professional level 
• 2 years of clinical experience in external beam radiotherapy. Brachytherapy or proton therapy are meriting 
• Ability to travel up to 20% 
• Some coding or scripting experience in any language 
• Medical device industry experience is meriting 
• Teaching experience and speaking multiple languages are skills that you will benefit from in your new position
